Landfall
I do not know this land.
But I have braved its ocean.
For a long time, there was only water and sky. Storms. Currents. Waves that seemed determined to carry me somewhere, though I could not say where.
The storms did not tell me where I was.
They only taught me how to sail.
And perhaps that is enough.
For now.
Because at last, I have found somewhere to stand.
Land.
Safe. Secure. Land.
Solid ground beneath my feet and a new horizon worth studying.
The Journal is a record of what I find here.
Stories. Ideas. Questions. Strange landmarks. Even stranger people. Useful tools. Less useful machines. Fragments of wisdom gathered from all manner of sources.
I make no claim to possess a perfect map.
I am a traveler, not a prophet.
But after years at sea, I have learned that one does not need certainty to navigate.
Only a map, a compass, good instincts... and a fair bit of luck, too.
So consider this a travel journal from an unknown shore.
Let us see what lies beyond the next hill.
